"Rude Mama Passionfruit hot sauce is a bright, fragrant and flavourful sauce. It's well balanced with sweetness of the passionfruit, fiery spice from the thai chilis and tartness from apple cider vinegar. This actually tastes like a home made sauce (like homemade by someone who knows what they're doing). It's hand crafted locally here in Toronto and made in small batches from premium Canadian ingredients. It's based off a central Vietnamese recipe so I knew it would work well with my silken tofu recipe. The sauce is a base which can have ingredients swapped and added like sugar if you want a bit of sweetness. But because this Rude Mama sauce was already so balanced and had the sweetness from the passionfruit and cane sugar, there was no need to add more. The use of apple cider vinegar also added a depth of flavour vs just a regular white vinegar. The heat is mild to medium so it will make you sweat but not blow out your taste buds. Overall, I really loved this sauce and can't wait to make more dishes with it."
